If parents don't want their children to watch porn they could install plugins or software that screen out these sites. Also placing you desktop computer in the living room where everyone can see what you are doing is a good idea.
I don't think pornographic sites shoule be banned. These only need be regulated and be available only to adults. There are various types of sexually deviation. Different sites cater to needs of those interested in such deviation. There is nothing wrong in visiting these sites or even writing for these.

Exactly...there is no need to ban such sites, only implement strict regulations with respect to viewers who can access them!

If strict implementation of all the existing laws pertaining to objectionable web content, it equally serves the purpose. No need of another "Ban" and leaving it unimplemented.

I am neither supporting porn nor am I against it. If this is something that the public wants then the IT laws should change and legalize such sites. At present all porn is illegal as per the IT act. What I am saying is that at present the Government does not support porn YET is unable to control it. This is contradictory.

If there is an IT act, the government should ensure an effective implementation. Ineffective laws and lack of determination to implement will create more chaos.
It has become a fashion to point out accusing finger towards the government simply forgetting the fact as a citizen one has to remember that they too have responsibilities. Pity is everybody talks about Rights. Not Responsibilities.

Yes, We are too Indian. We have to be responsible. Why not we all stop watching such sites. We cannot blame on government. If they banned such sites, still there is the way to assess such site by some hacking....

We are too Indian? What exactly you mean by that? If an Indian is not Indian, who else it could be?

Anyhow, coming to the point, if people think mere introduction of a law will stop the rot, they are mistaken. It's the people who are supposed to implement. And it should start from you.

Yes, I never see such sites in my life. I never waste my time on such garbage content. I should implement it. What about you...

You can never censor internet. Some way or other ,erotica or porn always had and will continue to have a place in society .Its clearly a matter of choice.

There is nothing called legal porn in India. We need to understand that erotica always had a place in the society.

Society is not a pool of stagnant water. It goes on flowing. In the process it leaves behind the old and accepts new. Implied in this the days when Erotica was viewed as an art form and an essential ingredient for happy marital life have gone. The new society has started seeing it as unwanted and harming ingredient that's degrading the society. Accordingly the ruling party made acts to stall the pornographic sites. Unfortunately they proved to be ineffective. We need an iron hand and strict implementation with effectiveness to block the porn sites.

No law is ever fully implemented. The law just enables government to take appropriate action. Personally, I believe that government need not bother about pornographic material. The adults know shat to watch. As regards children, it is for parents to regulate what their children see.

Very true. Finally the ball comes in to the Parent's court. Where law fails, parents (People) can make a law effective.
