Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi's 91st Birthday (Senior Indian politician)

Born as Dakshinamurthy on 03/06/1924, now his name is Karunanidhi who is the most senior Indian politician. He has served as a Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu five times. He is the head of the party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam which is popularly known as DMK. He has been the leader of this party since the death of its founder C.N. Annadurai (former Chief Minister of Tamil nadu) who is popularly called Anna. He holds the record of winning his seat in every election in which he has participated.

    Many happy returns of the day to him. But time to reflect about the abundant love he has for only his family members- they can do no wrong and are the only true DMK beneficiaries. In all probability he may also have lost if he had stood for elections. It is time family oriented parties are sidelined. Time voters in Tamil Nadu came out of Anna's and Amma's gift oriented and heavily subsidized doles.

    Karunanidhi is known for his all round knowledge. And he's an able leader.

    But his DMK ministers disabled Manmohan Singh's government - so much for his knowledge and ability. Now pl do not blame Manmohan.

    He is more of an artist than a politician. His defeats and wins in the murky politics are nothing before his artistic acumen.
