In Tamilnadu most of the school children and college students getting laptops free from the government. They can improve their skills if they develop their skills further with the help of govt. A charitable trust called "Teach India" provided 500 second hand computer to corporation schools to teach the computer basic skills to the students. Actually every govt taking the step in improving the education of the student but the engineering or graduates who completed the course and joined in an organization did not even participate in teaching programs for the poor or uneducated people in their region. There is a scheme called "Arivoli Iyakkam" in Tamilnadu to educate for the uneducated people from the educated persons. If people support the other people then everybody not only maids will get benefited.
Even such gestures will not do. Our servant maids also have a huge multitude of health problems. We need to rope in some NGO and ensure that they get some sort of medical insurance. Only when this is ensured, can they breathe a little and we can make some improvement in their lives. We can also contribute something in this regard.
