Yes, I understand this thing. Bank has counted all those bundles from starting, so there is very minor chance to have problem in it. But that customer was only asking same and same question that what if there will be less money.
And he has more bundles so counting manually it was too hard and time consuming. Even bank's staff was confused how to handle that customer?
What about providing separate counting machine outside of cash counter? Is it possible anyway?
This is possible. Bank will have to spend extra. But then also the facility should be used in presence of bank staff only. One may complain immediately after counting and without taking out any note from the bundle. These days notes are not stapled. I remember that in the past one could count at residence also and complain as long as the bundle was intact. But now this is not possible as the notes are loose and not stapled.
The ultimate remedy is to minimize cash transactions except for small amounts. The payments should be by cheques only. The businessmen and contractors need heavy cash for disbursement to employees and other suppliers. If such payments are also by cheque, there will be very little need for drawl of heavy cash and counting. Better to use ATM for small amounts.
