Thats such a great effort by the coach. On the lighter side he mentioned after sindhu won @Rio that now she can be back to being a normal 21 year old .. she can have her phone back and can even enjoy ice creams. This goes on to show the commitment hard work both the coach and the student have been going through. Salutes to both.

Gopichand was a good coach, yet the telangana dy CM  has said that Gopichand was a good coach but a better is needed if Sindhu is to win gold at Tokyo.I agree with him and now a international champion is needed( gold medal winner) to coach Sindu. That was a gaffe by by Telangana Dy. CM. But Sindh is confident that under the guidance of Gopichand himself, she can aim for Gold medal in Tokyo Olympics.

If he can make a 21yr old create history by winning silver...within  the next 4 yrs he can train her for gold as well. If govt was so interested they should have found someone earlier. It would be so unfair to take credit away from him at this stage

Sindhu was given all kinds of facilities to establish  a Coacing Academy of international Standards in association with her coach Gopichand. I heard there is a proposal from Gopichand to provide more  facilities for the Girls and women.

Why should the Telengana government poke its nose in who should be the coach. Itis very unfair to both the player and the coach. Let them bring coaches to teach them how to run the government.

Gopichand is a proven badminton coach who is credited with coaching such players a Saina and Sindhu. Telengana Government too awarded 1 Crore Rupees to Gopichand. What for do you think, Gopichand was given Rs. One Crore ?

currently both the telengana and andhra govt are showering rewards and recognition just to be one up the other and not really out of their true recognition of the sport.
