Almost everyday out army soldiers are getting killed with impunity by Pakistan supported terrorists. However our government is spending all its energy on black money. How many more soldiers have to lay their lives down for the inaptitude of our government's failure to tackle the threat from across the border. Today seven have died. No word from the politicians but lot of noise about black money. Are out priorities right?

Indian Army is active at the Border. Even today Army killed Pak sponsored Terrorists. of course Pakistan killed some of our Jawans. But it is a war. Causalities will be there on both sides. . For our Government, both  Black Money curbing and curbing the Terrorists is equally important. Both are priorities.

Yes both are equally important but it is opinion that it is not a war. India government must be do some thing to stop such type of killing of Indian soldiers. Causalities of India side is more that Pakistan. It is better to foolproof our borders.

Several thousand of lives have been lost after the Kashmir insurgency in 1980s all because of flawed policies by the previous regime. In fact , the death toll was at its highest during the nineties and if the govt could get involved in scam after scams and corruption of the highest order without any of its sycophants raising any objection , why is it being brought up now when something good is being done ? I am sure this govt is responsible enough to look into the welfare and safety of the soldiers as well..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I agree. Fool proofing the Border is not a One day affair. It takes time. Our Army is given full freedom. Surgical strikes was a big shock to Pakistan. Modi Government has decided to keep a strict vigil at the Border. ,and this will continue. Over a period, I hope everything at the Border will be OK.

There is no point in going into statistics of casualties. The point is what is happening today that is important. Our soldiers are dying like sitting ducks in their own country and the government is chasing black money instead of terrorists. Both are important but what is the priority. What is use all the time blaming previous regimes. It shows lack of ability to face present challenges. At this rate one can also say the rate of our soldiers getting killed has gone up in the last few months. Challenges have to be faced and overcome. Blaming previous governments is nt going to achieve anything. Surgical strikes have to be increased and made effective.

I agree. as you said, the present Government has done it. Surgical Strikes are on the increase. There is a constant vigil on the Border. Undoubtedly, the Government has taken this  as a serious problem and as a challenge.

No government worth its salt can reduce the vigil at our borders. The huge infrastructure created by previous regimes has been inherited by present government. You as usual seem to be privy to what the government is going to do. The response of the present government do not seem to be bearing fruit as the number of terrorist strikes keeps going up and also is spreading along the border.

You are in hurry. Remember, for any new Government, it takes time to work out a strategy and implement, especially when it is related to Security of the Country. Don't expect things to change overnight.  That the huge infrastructure created by previous regimes was inherited by the present Government is a blatant lie.

What to tackle first?? Border issues, black money, corruption, ...?? The list is endless. And everything on the list has equal priority. Lives of army personal are lost on border and in fighting terrorism. Terrorism and Maoism has definitely got a setback post demonetization.

Unresolved border issues and the ever mounting corruption is gifted by our previous regime. We get it as a legacy. It can't be corrected overnight.

And interestingly things are a loop, black money supporting cross border terrorism, corruption at all levels oxygenate black money,, black money feeds terrorism...., Somewhere you have to cut through the loop.

As of now, there are two priorities. The Government is keen on abolishing Black Money and Terrorism. With these most of the problems will be solved. And in this regard, Government is very sincere. There is no doubt about the Government's sincerity and commitment.
