Living should be simple but we must not make show of simplicity as well. simplicity means living as normally persons placed in same situation as you will do. For example, if all in your office wear pant, shirt and tie, it is no simplicity to wear Dhoti Kurta.
Comfortable living is different from luxurious living. Comforts add to your efficiency whereas luxurious life style means that you are so much engaged in personal comforts that you neglect your duties. The comforts are a means to work efficiently and not otherwise.
There is a proverb- Dress to please others and eat to please yourself. Simplicity in food means that you take healthy food that also tastes well.
To conclude luxurious life style indicates that you spend to make an impression on others. Many people organize Bhagwati jagran and Satya narayana katha only to show they are so rich. This is luxurious life style.
Simple living means- live in comforts that add to your efficiency, maintain health and do not display your wealth and other achievements unnecessarily.

well it all depends on the mentality and attitude of a person towards life.
some people are happy living a simple life which seems satisfactory to them,there is no end to running after luxuries .hence they feel content with whatever they have.
on the other hand there are people who prefer a luxurious life .
luxurious life is good as long as you can afford it on your expense.taking loans or depending on others to swank a luxurious life will make your roots weak.well your living a simple or luxurious life is not that important,your high thinking is something that really matters.

Sajeetharan- You have stressed High thinking irrespective of simple or luxurious living. But simple living follows high thinking. Luxurious life style is essentially an attempt to spend lavishly just to impress people. Living in comforts enough to work efficiently and keep yourself healthy is not luxurious. A well thinking and industrious person has no time to enjoy luxuries. simplicity and high thinking are in fact twin sisters. arrogance and luxurious life style are also twin brothers.

I mean It depends on our own definition of Simple Living and Luxurious Living. For a poor guy, if he gets to drive a Maruti 800, it will be a luxury for him. Similarly, driving a Fiesta was a luxury for me till a year back and now it has become quite simple.

I agree with you. In fact, simplicity is related to your job and status. What is luxury for one is necessity for another. This is a matter of personal attitude. Spending unnecessarily just for demonstrative purpose is luxury. According to Economics, luxuries are those that either are irrelevant or injurious to your efficiency.

for better economy one should spend max, that's only way to raise liquidity of money, the only way to make purchasing power high and get financial stability,

No matter you live simply or luxurious but flow of money should not be stopped, it should be changing hands as fast as possible..

luxurious living is good, life is just a small chapter lets enjoy it to the fullest.
