    This is a matter of practice. If you have not learnt typing in a professional way, you may now do so. Even if you do not want to learn in a typing institute, some familiarity with touch system is necessary.

    Use all the fingers while typing. The left hand fingers are for ASDFG & QWERT. The right fingers for :LKJH & POIUY. A standard text book on typing may guide you.

    First practice typing the row on key board for about fifteen days. Later, type the sentence: A quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Type this sentence for two or three days. This sentence contains all alphabets. This much or practice will increase your speed. Ultimately, practice will make you perfect.

    Practice makes a man perfect, practice daily for at least 20 minutes, first day type ASDF and JKL; only this letters and next day other letters, this way you can increase your speed, typing is thought in this way.

    so Pankaj,you need to improve your typing speed rit...the most simple way is to start CHATTING..yes..install yahoo chat or gtalk or anytin and start chatting with friends or strangers...u will improve your speed in no time..its fun too..:)

    Its not good for nothing.Infact it is the way i improved my writing speed.
    I think what u see is that, when we chat we will use short words like in sms, so that ultimately it will destroy the proper English.But the fact is when you chat you try to locate the letters fast and eventually we will study the locations of keys in no time.So without any specific practice, we will know where a letter is is and typing using keyboard becomes easier.It has nothing to do with English or language we use.

    When Abid says that chatting will do no good to writing, he means language skill and not typing speed. There is no doubt that chat requires constant typing and thus speed is increased. Language skill and typing speed are different. A very good writer may be a very slow typist.
