Pronouncing Pen, pain and pan
in Improving English Writing Skills
Although the category is about writing, I am writing on speaking.

Many pronounce 'pen' as in 'pan'.

Also many pronounce 'pan' same way as 'pain'

Thus PANCARD is pronounced as 'pain card'.

There are many other similar words which need care in pronunciation.
