    It means approval. Nobody knows about its origin. One argument is it's the acronym for 'Oll Korrect' a corrupted form All Correct what was in vogue during 18 th century in some English speaking countries

    Still it is an unconfirmed view of certain sections of the language PUNDITS .there are scores of versions about the origin of OK.

    Unarguably Ok or Okay is considered as the abbreviation of 'All Correct' but how did it come to be? Here's a great article I found which explains how it came to be and became so popular!

    An article that has thrown light on it's origin to the evolution through 20th century made quite a good read. The good part of the article is how OK has simplified the conversation simple and crisp.

    Strictly speaking the term 'ok' is grammatically incorrect. The correct term is 'okay'.

    Strictly speaking the term 'ok' is grammatically incorrect. The correct term is 'okay'.


    With the term OK there are no grammatical issues involved since OK was used as far back as 18th century and the OKAY spelling for that term was generated only very rece3ntly. Please do read the article link in my post!

    The acronym of OK. is okay according to the English language. It only means that every things are satisfactory, and going well. If any one says that they are OK., this means that they are feeling good, nice, and untroubled.
