Can books be replaced by palmtop computers for children? Children carry heavy loaded bags to school.

Yes, this topic is quite debatable but if you ask me personally I believe that there is no replacements for books.....But it would be worthwhile at the same time to get the gadgets used by the teachers while teaching the students for proper and instant information...
Clearly no! No replacement for books and others could at best be thought of as aids.Even in the West there is revival of interest in physical books!
We may have paperless offices, schools, libraries in future. Presently, books cannot be replaced. But computers and other gadgets may also be used in combination with books.

I think it will not do good.It will make a child too mechanical.

I think ,In my point of view, replacing books with palmtop computers wont be a good idea.
It is not the only solutions now a days many of the curriculum activities are started in the schools which lowers the burden of study and also some schools are adapting a method of keeping the students bag in the school only. this is also helpful in lowering their study burdens
My view, no replacement for books, books are the best for the children

Children should be brought up through reading. So books are necessary.
