    You can certainly convert word document in PDF. I always convert books into PDF I write for clients, but the conversion is done by my team and they use this tool:

    It is free and easy to use and plus the official site has nice support too.

    Ooops I forgot to add that though the tool is free it will create watermark on each output. I have a paid version so did not notice till I re-read my post.
