Yes. Changing of course of river patterns, encroaching of neighboring desert in to the Valley are some other reasons for the end of this great civilization.

From both these links, it is quite clear that the reasons for extinction of these ancient civilizations were both due to man-made and natural causes! If we are to learn any valuable lessons from history, it is that we really really need to wake up now and start conserving water and nature and stop encroaching upon the hills and mountains that play a vital role in maintaining rain cycles and also act as obstacles in the approach of storms and cyclones!

Exactly.its clear not heeding naturs's warning will certainly lead disasters of astronomical magnitude . This should act as an opener to all of us. We abuse the nature in the name of development. The Indus valley lesson is relevant more to the modern times.
