Wearing a bindi on the forehead no doubt adds to the beauty of a women but most women these days don't put one owing to the modern wear or attire. Putting a kumkum on a forehead no doubt has been linked to activating the third eye, but not many choose to believe this anymore.

It's a tradition that has seen centuries .we say in Telugu that a Bindi worn woman looks like Mahalakshmi.

I heard certainorganizations do not allow wearing bangles and flowers, but I didn't hear about not allowing women employees to wear Bindi or KumKum.
