Some people use car or bike to show their status. Some use car or bike to travel even small distance. It is time to change our mentality. Either we should share the vehicle or use bicycle to go to places nearby. If possible just walk as walking is good for health.

Vehicle sharing or car pooling is done in most cities where 4 or 5 people living in nearby areas get together and travel by one car, they take turns , each one driving for a week or a certain number of days. Many major IT companies provide vehicles for pick up and drop which also reduces vehicular emission.

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

In Bangalore I have seen car pooling executed in a successful way. Though many of them holding high positions, they are for car pooling. If the members are more there with the same destination , number of taking turns will be decreased.

Travelling by bus or other public vehicle also helps to control over pollution. Use cars and other small vehicles when you find no alternative.

Of course using public transport helps. But most of the Public transport run by state transport are un reliable. Office goers may not be willing to use .
