JDU seems to be perpetually in the news for all the wrong reasons . The students seem to do every other activity except study . The anti national brigade is being lauded by some professors who have been openly showing sympathy towards terror based groups from Kashmir who join JNU in the guise of students and create unrest in the campus. In a recent development when a professor organised an event to honor our martyred jawans , his car was vanadalised and stones pelted at his house where his wife and daughter were present..On the one hand they openly show their anti national inclinations with Umar Khalid, a Kashmiri student with known terror links is hailed by the students and professors...And we had politicians like Rahul Gandhi and his kind sitting with the group when they were on strike earlier ..

It's disappointing that a government-funded university and that too in the National Capital is being led to inferno by some anti-national elements.

What once was a prestigious University has become a breeding ground for anti-national parasites, feeding off the nation and the taxpayer's money. A professor's car vandalized just because he payed condolence to the martyrs. Is this the price for patriotism nowadays? Such places need some serious "cleansing".

If they take tough steps in Kashmir against the separatists the anti national elements in JNU will vanish.

It is a carefully thought out strategy by the left parties who openly support these anti National elements. Yesterday during the debate they had on TV , the student leader of JNU was quite brash about the whole thing , contradicting himself . The spokes person for the communist party showed by his talk that they are behind the unrest .. it is only the politicians who manipulate and control these young minds who speak their language and think they know all !

I would agree with that .. most of the trouble makers come from either Kashmir or Kerala which is also becoming an explosive state . The Central govt needs to take very drastic and firm measures to put an end. But the opposition cries foul and creates a ruckus , many a times openly supporting the fringe elements. Hopefully with more states coming into the fold of BJP , they wd find it much easier to implement ..

Yes, the opposition should not take their title literally- they really shouldn't oppose everything that comes their way. A bit of support from them on policies that benefit the public is always welcome.

There may be some undesirable activities in JN U but it will be wrong to say that there is no study in that institution. There are a good number of JNU trained bureaucrats and other prominent personalities. There is tradition of lively debates and seminars in JNU. There needs be some degree of freedom of thought in every educational institution so that there is independent development of mind and thoughts. The saffron elements desire to force their own brand of 'nationalism' that goes against the spirit of unity in diversity. Minority bashing and curbing freedom of expression and diversity of views is the only meanking of the saffron brand of nationalism, which is just 'Hindu rashtra'. The nationalism mthat is inimical to minorities- religious, linguistic, cultural, ideological- is in fact, anti nationalism.

In effect the fringe elements that consists of a large number of minorities can wave Pakstani flags, protest against and spit on Hindu God's, have meetings and shout Kashmir azadi slogans which should all be tolerated but the so called saffron elements have no right to protest nor show their patriotism ,the dream and aspiration to have Hindu Rashtra  ...no wonder more and more people are beginning to identify with RSS and BJP ideology which is straightforward and people friendly unlike the old twisted ideology of communalism..

I think the so-called "curbing freedom of expression and diversity of views" is the reason of BJP getting more support from right thinking citizen of this country. They know no nation can survive if the right party is not supported at the right time. You can keep your "curbing freedom of expression and diversity of views" but I would keep interests of my country on top of everything else.

The so-called "saffron elements" tend to take nationalism to its very extreme when they force their opinions by means of goondaism. But on any given day, if I'm given a choice between the saffron brigade and those ranting for Kashmir's azaadi, I would happily choose the saffron brigade.

No doubt the cow vigilantism and nationalism brigade need to be checked since you get to hear reports of violence which is definitely not right. Mr Modi has been warning them in almost all his speeches and so do the other ministers...This has been an ongoing saga since decades , but being highlighted now which is good .
