A very pertinent point, but that's how I grew up using them. It is basically used to prevent dust to enter.

I use cream & then apply powder to prevent dust to stick because of the cream. May be that is not required as well.

I don't know why I think like that to become fair, but I have been using it. I have to introspect myself, may be I have fallen prey to Ads. I also have a question in my mind right now after seeing this reply.

Does anybody over here use creams at all? I have been using as a normal practice to prevent dust from outside sources. Just curious to know whether anybody uses creams over here?

Taking care of ones skin is good and all that f us do so ...I feel that natural ingredients work a lot better than creams . I use a paste made of turmeric, curds and a few drops of oluve oil. .

Vicco Turmeric is made from natural ingredients. I think I should try the paste as being used. But not very often these things happen like a person preparing a paste of their own! That is indeed a wonderful idea that never struck me. It is very cost efficient & effective. Thank you for your useful insight.

Vicco Turmeric is an oldest product. I know it since when I was of 14 years old. It is natural. In these day Pantjali products is famous and all these are natural.

This is a informative article that tjrows light on so e haal f the measures taken by the Indian Govt to spread awareness about environment and the importance of preservation

Its a great achievement indeed. I wonder how the state government of Sikkim motivated all the farmers to practise organic farming? Farmers in other states can also be encouraged to take similar steps.

In India, every year farmers in different states faces problems due to erratic weather conditions. If they are encouraged to practice organic farming, their loss can be reduced to a great extent.

I agree Jabeen , also in India besides inequal distribution, we also face water scarcity in some areas ,lack of resources and knowledge distribution, loan facilities and counselling to overcome difficult situations. If the government focuses on things that help farmers at every level , they could concentrate on productivity and quality . As of now many if them think only of survival which is really sad..

I too saw the video. It seems to be a good initiative. But this needs to be done on a larger scale in India so that the agricultural products can be sold at lower prices. Right now if we see organic product in marts or supermarket they are beyond reach of common man. It is impossible to afford organic products.

If everything pools in and do their bit , it is not difficult to have a nation that is clean and healthy . Lack of awareness and a general lax attitude coupled with misplaced priorities  has made our country one  of the filthiest with the worst basic infra structure ..our cities are a nightmare and villages have no amenities, so we have a long long way to go!

Thanks for sharing these, For me only one thing is enough to control pollution, it is we people. If we begins to think that how environment is important for our life every thing is possible.

Here I am reading almost everyday about organic farming. People who adopt it is benefited. Organic farming is almost no cast farming. Pestiicides made cow urine, neema, dhotoora are much more better than other chemical base pesticides.
