After a long illness, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi passed away today morning at a private hospital in Pune. He was a maestro par excellence, vocalist of Kirana Gharana, he was the greatest scion of rich tradition of Hindustani Classical music. He was 89.

    A very sad news and indeed a great loss for indian classical music. I still remmember his "MILA SUR MAARA TUMHARA" which gives inspiration for being a Indian and proud to have such legends. He will stay is hearts of every indian till the indian classical music is there.Hope his soul rest in peace.
