Bangalore: Milk price hiked by Rs 2 in Karnataka

Bangalore, Feb 15: Already reeling under huge price hikes of various commodities, the common man in Karnataka will now have to pay more for milk also with the Karnataka Milk Federation increasing the price by Rs two per litre.

In a statement here KMF said the hike was ''in keeping with the interest of the milk producing farmers of the state and to meet the increased cost of milk production at farmers level''.

A similar hike would also be made in the case of curd.

Fat free and pasturised milk would now cost Rs 21 per litre.

The price of Nandini Milk sold by Member Milk Unions throughout the state has also been revised by Rs two per litre.
