Judge impeached

A judge has been impeached by parliament for misappropriation of funds. It is however notable that the judge committed no offence as a judge. The said offence pertains to earlier period as an advocate. This is the reason why BSP did not support impeachment.

The impeachment is clear evidence of the fact that even without Lok Pal, there are enough safeguards in our system so that even judges do not escape punishment.

    Every criminal can never be booked. This depends on efficiency of CBI and investigative agencies. But our system is perfect. Imperfection if any is because of human factor.

    Although all criminals cannot be booked, even exemplary punishment to those caught sends a message and the criminals are in panic.
