    Even this amount is not suitable for most of the people as they are paying in so many different ways. People's life is getting tougher by the indirect taxes which they keep on imposing.

    What I feel is they should reduce or abolish indirect taxes which make life difficult for us. They may keep the direct taxes in affordable slabs and abolish some of the indirect ones.

    Previously i used to earn 96,000 per annum and now i am earning 2,22,000 per annum. how do i apply for income tax???

    i am asking this because no one helped me and i want to learn myself. please help me!!!!!!!!

    You get deduction of investments in PPF, CPF, LIC etc. up to Rs. 1 lakh under section 80(C) of Income Tax. This suffices to take you out of tax bracket.
