Mr. Verghese Kurien, the man behind Amul, passed away today! It is a very great loss for us all to be deprived of such a great man whose vision touched the lives of hundreds of farmers in India and brought India on the Global map! May his soul rest in peace!

Yes I read about that. He was the first one to give a completion to Nestle. He started this at a small level and reached to the top. In fact Amul is my first choice of packed milk despite being most costly.

He was a man of great intellect. Amul has been consistent with its quality and was the first one to develop powdered milk from buffalo milk.
I love to read the Amul iconic girl cartoon in the newspaper daily, witty and humorous it is!

    Live in the present :)

Yes it will! To make Amul a blobal brand, Mr. Kurien has worked very hard and his vision and philosophy is deeply ingrained in its workers and management even now, so quality will never be compromised even though he is not there anymore!

I didn't know his name. Amul is my favourite brand. I like all products of this brand. It is simply the best. My parents are using this brand from their time till now also. I really feel for Mr Kurien. He has given us milk and other dairy products without which our day cannot start. He is truely a great man whom India has lost. Hats off to him!

Yesterday they had a program on TV about his life and the initial struggles he had to face , he was a remarkable personality who revolutionised the milk industry ! He also came across as a very intelligent and witty person who could converse on any subject !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
