Maoist violence has been cited in the report. Maoist believe in the theory- Power flows from barrel of gun. The terrorist and insurgents also believe in violence for their mission. Let us exclude these from the overall violence statistics. Then, it will appear that U.S.A. is most violent state. The recent attacks on Sikhs by imprudent individuals, racial attacks, murder in school even by small children speak volumes about the condition in the west.

However the condition in our country is not commendable. Let us not count Maoists and insurgents. Just see how much violence the so called main stream political parties, regional parties indulge in. The Maoist just do not believe in ballots but these so called main stream political parties employ musclemen and gun men for intimidating voters. For them ballet through bullet is the policy.

Yes that is the main reason of it. This is surprsing and looks as if laws are meant for only common people.

This is correct. Law are like net. A net will catch fish and not crocodiles.

It appears that the population and size of India has not been considered. Pakistan and Afghanistan are definitely are more violent countries. It appears that absolute number of cases have been considered in arriving at conclusion. The total number of cases need be divided by population and then per capita figure given.
