There is always need to learn from past to create present, surprisingly present day lady and gents actors have been engaged with various types of medias and they do not have enough time to course personal bonding's as some of leading lady actors of 60s have.

Was nanda a top actress or moderate actress? I have seen her films in tvs and YouTube with android, barring one film, jab phul khile, which she was exceptional perhaps she has no more good films in her credit.

she performed well as a child artist and in her youth. She was more than sixty at time of death. she never acted in elders' role. So she stopped acting when heroine role was not suitable to her age.

Nanda and Wakeeda Rehman were very close friends and their friendship started ever since they worked together in Kala Bazaar . Nanda was also very friendly with Asha Parekh, Sadhana , Helen and Shammi Kapoor and they would meet regularly for lunch. It is really interesting that Nanda never acted with Shammi Kapoor in a single film.
Nanda was the highest paid star during the period between 1969 - 1973 after which other actresses like Hema Malini and Mumtaz took over...

Yes I read the reminiscences of Asha Parekh, it is really interesting and heartwarming to note that these ladies shared such a friendly and warm relationship with each other. While ladies of the present generation in the industry indulge only in catfights and normally have only scathing remarks about each other.

Very true ! I remember how Sharmila Tagore was remembering Shammi Kapoor after he died.It seems he was in Switzerland just a couple of weeks before he died and called her to tell her that he was at Interlaken where they had shot for the song Akele akele kahan jaa rahe ho...Imagine the leading ladies of these days having time for such niceties !

True. Even the lead actors too used to reciprocate in the same way towards their leading women. Rajkumar though a bit eccentric used to talk with polite language with his leading ladies especially with Meena Kumari.

Between the years 1969 and 1973 she was one of the highest paid actresses along with Sharmila Tagore and Hema Malini. She acted in films like The Train, Dharti Kahe Pukar ke,Joru ka ghulam, Shor,Abhilasha , Adhikar, Roota na karoand a few others , most of which were hits...She was an accomplished actress and was very popular and loved by filmgoers to this day...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
