Accountability is one thing which never was in the administration of erstwhile governments. But it’s no more in the Modi’s governance.

The bureaucrats are always accountable to ministers and the ministers to P.M. and the whole cabinet to parliament. such procedure has always been there. We can talk anything about preceding governments and that is not so relevant now. As regards Modi government, it is too early to make any comments. The government has been formed. Let them work. any realistic and appropriate appraisal can be only after a reasonable period of working may be one year.

Comparing the Modi's government with the earlier governments is relevant and essential to know to what extent the voter has been fleeced, duped and dumped in to the garbage cans.
It's not too early to talk about the new government. After all we test a single grain to know if the food is cooked or not.
Having worked in the Government I can say that accountability is always there, but what is lacking is taking action where accountability has failed. This area by and large in Govt sector is weak and one reason is a maze of rules from which tough decisions rarely come out. We are soft people dreaming of hard decisions. Without being misunderstood, see how we are not able to carry out death sentences confirmed repeatedly by Supreme Courts. It will be very difficult to change this attitude. Sooner or later the system overpowers even the reformist.
