Presntly, five transactions at ATMs othr than your bank are allowed. This is now to b rstricted to two for urban ATM users. This is unfair to those who have to use other bank ATMs comulsority. For example: My bank Indian Bank has only one ATM and that too in bank premises. Even if this ATM were not there, I could withdraw from bank counter. The customers of SBI and PNB are btter placd as these banks have ATMs at more places.

If you use only IOB ATM there is no problem. But if IOB ATM is not conveniently placed and you have to go to other bank ATMs, you will have to pay more charges.

That is the problem.. Bigger bank customer have no problem but smaller bank has less amount of ATM. It create problem at every part of our country.
Well, it looks like a problem to those who use other bank ATM machine of which they are not an account holder-- in fact we all do it. So now we have to limit our transactions to two if we use ATMs of other banks where we don't an account. Not a welcome decision.

In emergencies it is still better to use any ATM which is closeby to withdraw cash rather than go hunting for one that is of your bank since the charges are just Rs 20, which is probably less than what you would pay for travel..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

ATM opened for the purpose of taking money at any time and do not wait in the queue. If we accept the charges of Rs.20 for our transactions bank should also provide more atm services to the peoples. If one bank atm is not working then how can people take money. In some ATM you can see a board always mentioned with the word "ATM NOT WORKING". If bank is ready to collect the charge of RS.20 then they should also give concessions to the customers who are not able to take money from their ATM'S due to not working or insufficient funds. Can bank will do this?

We can go to multiple bank ATM's to continue free withdrawls - or not?

Yes, I agree with you. 20/- rupees is a nominal fee and we won't think about it in case of an emergency. But this can be a cause of concern for those who don't keep any cash with themselves and withdraw money often.
