    With BJP being in power at the center the equations have changed now at least for them, so, they are demanding more number of seats..

    Whatever may be the reason for stalemate, the fact remains right now, neither BJP nor the Sena are willing to give up. Coming to a consensus looks quite remote.

    Perhaps this is politics, the same is in case of congress and Pawar congress, they have not yet reached to any decision as yet but they will have to as there is no way out.

    Today's latest is that Sena suggested an alternative a bit different from the earlier proposal. BJP is yet to respond..

    The arithmatics has still not come right for both BJP and Shivsena nor for Congress or NCP...They have a deadline so they need to work out things in a day or two..

    NDTV says BJP parliamentary committee has not decided any thing about alliance. But it said, there is nothing new in the latest proposal for alliance by the Sena.

    When no party is strong enough to fight on its own, smaller parties have opportnity to demand their pound of flesh.

    It is the same case with NCP and Congress too, having seen how badly Congress was defeated in the polls NCP is taking advantage and is demanding more number of seats although they are a much smaller party..The BJPs proposal of 130 seats for themselves is very fair !
