Six smaller parties are getting together to form an alliance to counter the popularity of BJP and Narendra Modi, while any kind of opposition is good for democracy, this one formed with criminals, greedy and power hungry politicians  like Lalu, Mulayam Singh , Deve Gowda and others does not seem like a great choice ...Only future days would tell us how this alliance would fare !!!!!

They have nothing else to do but oppose a person who is doing his best to uplift the cause of this corruption hit country. And the worst part is these parties are doing it all in the name of Secularism. As if these 12 seats in all have the copyright of safeguarding the cause of secularism. Why do they hesitate to call it Vote politics?

Deve Gowda and his son are amongst the most corrupted politicians in the country.  Mulayam Singh is another from the dirty gang.  What did Deve Gowda do when he had an understanding with the BJP?  He is the worst politician who should be confined to the dustbins of history.

Similarly, none , except Nitish Kumar, can even talk about corruption and secularism.  At least Nitish Kumar has a very good record in Bihar.

What shape this new party will take remains to be seen.  However, the BJP will go on from strength to strength as it has a good majority and is keen on at least doing something.

The poitical parties can organize or reorganie them in any manner. There is obiously nothin wrong in soe parties joining for some purpose. It may be recalled that first non Congress government at center was also formed by Janata party- a combination of several parties including Jan Sangh. The jan sangh constituent had to quit the party because of link with R.S.S.  The group formed bahrtiya janata party after breaking with janata party. The current issue is also of the former janata Party constituents rejoing.

The link given does not work because the member obviously could not use the 'enter' key after inserting the link. I shall do this now to ensure that te link works.

There is definitely nothing wrong in uniting together and forming a stiff opposition to the party in power since it keeps them on their toes. But, without any ideologies such an exercise is nothing but a futile attempt made at grabbing power which is bound to fail since people can see through their tactics..

These are nothing but feeble attempts of grabbing attention. But people are no longer fools and that BJP has come to power is the testimony to this fact. People no longer are interested in caste-based politics or other equally so-called secular issues. They want progress and want to keep up with globalization. So any attempts of such criminals joining hands against Modi is not likely to stand a chance for a long time.

Yes, the people are impatient and want change.  The IT exemptions given will make the middle classes save some more.  The opposition parties are a bunch of distilled idiots who have done nothing for the country.  Let us ditch them outright.  People only want development, and let the BJP deliver this.

Well said. People want performers. Not leg pullers.

Let us follow the Chinese model - only infrastructure development - social development at a much later stage. No opposition means no road blocks to speedy development. But their is corruption in China also!!

There are many things in many countries.  It's not a consolation or the reason for stalling the proceedings pf the houses. Let the opposition convince better ways instead of stalling the house proceedings.

The technique of stalling the house was perfected and introduced by the the then Opposition and now ruling party. As you sow so you reap.Insurance Bill was stalled for more than five years but same Bill they want now to get passed. The loss of business for these years is to whose account.
