I don't think anybody would be benefited by such a inhuman act esp when committed on one's own children, but can definitely land the convicts in the jail or an asylum. With times changing people have low patience levels and can have dire consequences.

The only beneficiary is the woman who committed this heinous crime. She has satisfied her ego.

The woman is most likely suffering from severe depression and mania. Thank god the children are safe, the mother should be institutionalized!
