Section 66 A demolished by Supreme court- as the court thinks one is free for his right of expression. Police cannot arrest anyone based on objectionable posts.

This is a very positive development. But still, there is no absolute ban on arrest. Only an officer of a high rank may issue order for arrest.

It's a much needed reform. I welcome this.

This is good. Right of expression indicates that India has democracy and nobody can dictate us. Expression is vitally important to make others understand the good and bad aspects.

It is a welcoming decision. However, chances are also there for misutilization of this freedom.

Law is a two edged knife. Theknife can be used for cutting an apple and throat too. Abuse of the law can be taken care of, with strict implementation. .

Yup, everybody should allowed to express their thoughts. So its a good step.

Or ban all the social media from India. This is not possible. Instead the apex court has taken a good step, not to curb the freedom of expression.

I don't mind 'expression of freedom' but it should not be in form of hate statements, inflammatory, abusing, bullying or online teasing. I will not mention naked paintings of gods and goddesses a particular religion in the name of freedom of expression. All said and done, I feel there should be a proper control of law enforcement agencies. There should be a proper regulatory to keep things under control. Or the alternate is let it be free for all and see what happens.

Exactly. Any law or act will succeed only when it's implemented in letter and spirit.  I also feel that there should be a set of guidelines to be followed by the social media and related media.

Restricting only makes a person look for ways to find loopholes...The best way is to make a person face responsibilities, in that way this is a step in the right direction. When you overstep your limits there are other means like defamation and slander options which can be filed against a person after the matter has been investigated unlike before when they arrested anyone who spoke against politicians and minorities..

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
