The government will now make it incumbent on internet service providers to filter pornographic content involving children..

The department of telecom has withdrawn the list of 857 websites it had asked internet service providers to ban.

As said in a different thread the association of internet providers of India has informed the government that the filters are not possible on such sites as their systems are unable to distinguish in between child or adult porn.

I love this free image hosting site for sharing my work

I agree with what the Service providers said. And the Government too has arrived at the conclusion that the Ban on porn is restricted to only those sites which contain Child porn.

The internet servicer providers haver expressed their inability to differentiate between child porn and other porn sites. They say that child porn is also not well defined and no clear instructions from government.

The entire exercise and the decisions of the Government to ban the sites which deal with Child Porn are in utter confusion.

Nothing is impossible in this world if they try, they will surely do that

Ultimately the government has cleared the confusion and said the ban applies to those sites which contain Child Porn.

There have been some sane and practical voices among the politicians on this subject...Today BJD MP Sathpathy put forward his views , most of which makes perfect sense !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I agree with what Satpathy has said. But such sane views were expressed in the parliament. I have seen the discussions earlier too. Simply because a member happened to be from the opposition, his views cannot be dismissed. Anyhow the ruling party itself realized its mistake and reversed its decision Banning all the Porn en-mass.

The net should be free of controls porn or no porn. The viewer should decide for himself.

Yes. In this process of mindless ban on Porn, Government is underestimating the peoples discrimination. Even before this Ban many Parents inserted filters to stop their children from viewing the porn.
