Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah seems bent on breaking his previous records for being insensitive and and an allround useless leader that the state has had in a long long time ...This time A Tanzanian girl was at the  receiving end of mob fury  for minor or no reason and the police stood and watched the whole episode !

But as expected the government and the Home minister who is a typical sycophant of the top leader is in denial going to the extent of saying that the attack never happened !!! Honestly do we need such leaders to rule us ?

Yeah, I read about it on FB. So horrible and disgusting. How can such things happen in our country, especially in city as literate and cosmo as Bangalore?

Karnataka is getting stripped of any title to civilization. Worse than Taliban or even ISIS.  Yet people say there is no intolerance.  The incident is savage, barbaric, racist and what not. No words to describe. The attitude of concerned political and administrators is really very astonishing and disgusting.

Agreed that the incident is inhuman and brutal but to label the state to be worse than Taliban or ISIS is not good. ISIS or Taliban kill people in hordes, shed blood like water and the way they torture women is on the lines of something out of horror movies. So please think before you write.

Karnataka Home Minister, G. Parameshwara, defends the Government of Karnataka saying that the incident was not Racism.Contrary to the Karnataka Government, Tanzanian Ambassador to India, John W, H Kizajazi said that there was a Racist element. OmPrakash, Karnataka's top cop said that there was no racist element. It's only on an inquiry, the real things come up.

The mob were targeting every African that appeared before them. The police also sided with the miscreants. The politicians and even ministers tried to protect them. What else is racism?  Every one including those in bus targeted the Africans and directly or indirectly supported the torture. Is this not similar to ISIS and Taliban. There is no need to mince words. The people in Bangalore are exposed. The mindset in other regions of the state can be well understood. This is also the place where some rationalist/ author was killed some time back that gave rise to intolerance debate.

I should mention here what The Hindu News paper said in its editorial. The Headline clearly says, "A Racist turn in Bengaluru." Further, the Editorial adds, " Such acts are not peculiar to Bengalore alone."

The shameful racism act in Bengaluru has nothing to do with politics. The reality is that there is an under current of racism prevalent in our society and color of skin does matter. Now an Nigerian is attacked in Hyderabad. Yes the politicians try to cover  up and mishandle the situation especially the insensitive remarks they make. Karnataka over the years has lost its cosmopolitan outlook with rise of fringe forces. it is a pity that a city with widest exposure to internationalism should turn out periodically racist. A member says that comparison with Taliban should not be made because they are very harsh in their treatment and usually kill. But intolerance is at the root of both behaviours. Should we wake up when our fringe elements become like Talibans. Bengaluru has brought shame to India's image. However it is not the only city to do so but is the latest. It is time to consider moving away all foreign students out  of such unsafe cities. In fact with our narrow outlooks should we invite foreign especially African students.

No doubt gong just by the humanitarian aspect what has happened is criminal and the minister coming up with such irresponsible statement is the limit ! I dont blame the Tanzanian embassy going all out and demanding justice , which is what they should be doing when one of their citizens is in trouble in a foreign land !

But there are some realities which also are being discussed in Bangalore especially by those who have Nigerian, Tanzanian and Zimbabwe students staying in their neighborhood. They are universally hated because of their unsocial behavior, noise , drunken brawls and drug episodes. Most house owners refuse to renew their house rental contracts. Recently two of the students ran over an old couple and a child and were caught for drunk driving, no word from their embassy then... There are umpteen cases of drug related crime and the embassies simply wash their hands off. I feel that it is precisely this kind of behavior that has made the police behave in such a lax manner, although they should not do so since it is an individual case and one where the girl was innocent!

Bangalore has always been a very broad minded city but it is the state government and the leaders who are at the root cause of such intolerance and disturbing behavior by their open discrimination . The CM lives in his own fools paradise of pomp ,arrogance and sycophancy towards the mother and son duo and little do they care about anything else other than point fingers at others when there is trouble !

Banglore has been ruled by Congress for maximum time and rose to fame as an IT center during Congress CM Mr Krishna. So blaming Congress is not fair nor right. The lumpen elements have got an opportunity to exert themselves and this needs to be curbed. If students from these countries are misbehaving they should be expelled and further students from these countries should not be accepted.

The Congress party under S M Krishna , Gundu Rao or even Veerappa Moily is vastly different to what it is today ...No doubt a lot has been achieved during their times but today the party ruled by Siddaramaiah and his cronies is nothing but a sham !
