Dr Kalam was indeed a unique President who proved that simplicity can be practiced even at that high office.

Exactly. Dr. Kalam is a standing example of 'Simple living and High thing." Born in to a little educated family of boat owners in Rameswaram, who grew up to lead India's Space research to the highest levels.  He believed in his inner strength. He is the one who took Space Research and Missile development programmes to the greatest heights.

Dr Kalam was not a politician was therefore able to act freely and without bias and prejudice and any quid pro quid.

Do you think by being a politician , one can act as he or she wishes ? No one is above Law.

Yes a good many of them do.They fall in the rich and powerful class and get away without being punished almost all the time.

It is outdated quotes, no one is above law. Here every thing is possible. Law is for only poor peoples not for rich and powerful peoples, their wishes is law for them. We are talking about Dr, Kalam, no doubt he was one of the best one president of India. He sacrificed his whole life for country.

A simpleton to the Core, Dr. Kalam practiced what he preached.. During his time as the President, he set highest standards of human values. He used to pay the traveling expenses  of his relatives  from his own pocket, whenever they come to visit him. Once he refused to sit on a Chair during a meet with youth, because, the Chair allotted to him was much bigger in Size. He preferred to sit on an ordinary chair like everybody else.
