The problem is we will never know what is the truth and what is the drama part of it ...However, Akhilesh seems  to have emerged stronger than before at least within the party . The coming elections in UP will be very interesting !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Presently the crisis is over using the election symbol, Cycle. Both father and son decided to meet the EC in this regard. Now it is clear the the crisis in the SJ  will continue, god knows how long.

It is turning out to be like suspense serial series. Nation keeps waiting for the next episode each day. On the top the Supreme court judgment to ban vote bank politics might add a new angle to the campaign. UP is the biggest battleground where elections are fought and won on vote bank. "Development"- the word is alien to UP election campaign and same holds true to majority of our nation

My personal view totally echoes with Sunil and Usha here. It seems to be an ugly political drama to mask the failure of the party. Samajwadi Party is actually a family party with more than 33 members from the same family.

But when I talk to many people especially educated youths from UP, they find Akhilesh to be a really good person and think that the progress in UP can be seen in last few years. They even feel that he being an youth and honest face of UP politics has lots of supporters and has helped SP to get a better image.

BJP fails to attract people in UP and Bihar as they do not have grass root efficient workers and a good local leader to buy the trust of localites. A national image of Modi can not win elections at all State level. They need to groom good leaders in these states to strengthen their position.

These are some of the views I have collected from people who stay in UP. My mother being from Benaras, I have lots of relatives staying in Benaras and Lucknow. They want BJP to come in governance but fear that it might not happen as there is no popular leader

I am also from U.P.  I feel that Akhilesh Yadav is an honest and promising young leader. He is obviously the best of all U.P. state leaders. He needs be given another opportunity for benefit of all people.

I think Its not good time of split but it will be good if Akhilesh start from zero and make another party to avoid fight in future .If they will again compromise then there is no guarantee that it will be same in future.

Time is not enough to make a new party.

I have seen in the News channels wherein  Akhilesh was doing Prananam with utmost respect to his father Mulayam.   Akhilesh's respect remained in tact even amidst the crisis. Mulaym failed to realize the honesty and respect to him by his own son Abhishekh.

There is a split but the benefit will go to the BJP.

Split in Samajwadi Party, is a big Drama. It  is a desperate attempt to cover  the all-round failures of the Akhilesh Yadav Government.
