Mata Bhalai Kendra Amritsar has introduced a scheme to promote strict adherence to Sikh way of dress and style. The youth between age 15-30 may participate. The unshaven and hairy youth will be given small prizes instantly. They will be coupons for Lucky Draw at Amritsar that may entitle them to prizes like Car, Motor Cycle, Lap Top.

Hope others may also take clue. We may witness Lucky Draw for Wearing sacred thread (Janeu), Tilak on forehead and so on.

What a trick to promote religion. It appears that business promotion is similar to religious promotion.

The news appeared in Dainik jagran Agra Edition on 6th April.

well,it is necessary as people are diverting from religious path :(
To protect the religious ethics and customs many people try to follow different methods. To attract the present youth, I think they found it to be the good option. :)
Not bad.

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
Deepti- They might have found a good option to promote religious life style. This is okay but just looks funny. Suppose that a Hindu gets incentive for wearing sacred thread or Tilak and a muslim woman gets incentive for wearing burqua, will it not look funny and bizarre.

Gulshan! You are right.

It looks cheap and bizarre. It is unacceptable.

Thank you Kumaresh for seeing my view point. Religious practice is by conviction of mind and not by commercial style promotion.

Following religion ethics is depends on the individual. If he is interested, then he will follow. It is his right. This type of promotion is very ridiculous. It should be strictly stopped. This is like a business.

Rakesh- I( just pointed out the funny aspect of business style religious promotion. We cannot stop it. This is a matter for religious authorities.

Our all Indian system is like that. Every thing is based on religion and caste. If it is stopped, then only India become developed country.

But we cannot stop anything however bizarre it may be. In matters of anti human acts like sacrifice before deity, sati system or child marriage, law may interfere. But for funny things like giving reward for wearing certain dress, law cannot interfere. We may only enjoy fun.

The very idea is to trivialise religion and mocks at its face!
