shocking news

It seems that one competition going on the face book about drawing the profet muhammad made them angry.
Oh is it!!!!

I knew that in many countries, social sites are also banned....

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
It is a bad news. Instead of blocking facebook and youtube they should block that pictures and bad quotes.

It is really bad news. But in real most of the muslim countries have lot of restrictions on sites like Orkut,uTube, facebook etc
Orkut is restricted in arab countries. There are many groups in facebook which are aganist pakistan and india too...These groups are not removed or restricted as facebook is a USA site. They dont have any problem and blocking such groups can reduce their traffic. So maybe pakistan have taken this step...
@Rajani, That's called dictatorship!! you can't expect a more tolerant approach from Pakistan!!

I don't think it as a bad because according to Muslim's beleif caricature of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) is not allowed. Here facebook is conducting a contest on it!!So they have no solution except this.

Nobody should be allowed to play with the sentiments of any religion followers . Now a days it has become a fashion to do something which is against the religious beliefs to gain cheap popularity.

you are correct kumaresh
Apparently, the religious believers are less tolerant. I believe that everyone has the liberty to give views fearlessly and unhesitatingly without causing insult to any one. The Pakistanis are less tolerant and do not have democratic bent of mind.
