Yes,Hope the election goes on well without any disturbances. :)
Hope elections will be smooth. It appears that the elections this time are not on caste basis as usual but development of state and performance is the main issue.

Bihar has of late improved its image on law and order front under Nitish Kumar anf I also wish a peaceful conduct of this election.

There is no particular season for elections. The month of October is not bad for elections. The election to Lok Sabha and State Assemblies are held every five years unless the assembly is dissolved on account of instability.
The fist few general elections were simultaneous for all parliamentary and assembly constituencies as Congress was a strong party with virtually no opposition. Later congress became weaker and many assemblies and even Lok Sabha had to be prematurely dissolved and midterm polls held.

Mid term polls are the root cause of frequent elections.

It's obvious enough that there could not be any seasons for them as all the assembly elections have varying dates of terms. There is another aspect of the kind of strength respective parties enjoy in an assembly. We have seen almost perpetual instability in Jharkhand beacuse of existence of a hung assembly!
Nice explanation given by Gulshan and Chinmoy. Thanks for sharing your views. :) :)
Amid tight security, an estimated 54.31 per cent of the 1.07 crore voters on Thursday exercised their franchise in the first phase of the Bihar assembly polls in 47 of the 243 seats. The source of information is rediff.com.
The first phase was relatively incident free and the second phase has started off today!
