    There was a case in our locality a few years back where a dog refused to eat anything after its master's death and eventually to die!!

    Yes, dogs and in many cases, a favorite pet, be it a cat, horse, goat or any species can read a person's mind. There are many cases similar to the one mentioned by chinmoy that are common enough.

    I forgot to mention one more incident involving a dog which took place a few months back where the pet joined the funeral procession of a member of the family and followed all the way to the burning ghat!!!
