Dennial vittori who led New Zealand in the 2011 World Cup, has been named the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2011. Vettori, who was in the Delhi Daredevils line-up for the first three seasons, takes over from Anil Kumble, who has retired from the game, but will mentor the Bangalore team this year. Ray Jennings will continue to be the side's coach.

Vettori's appointment as captain has put an end to rumours that claimed Virat Kohli would be the captain of RCB.
Virat being young shouldn't been captaining the side as his career has just started and assigning such a huge responsibility would really been a gamble.
ya i heard it already, Hope with vettori Royal do some better performance than Previous one.. Thanks for sharing...
I won't be surprised, if virat would be the captain, because he has captained indian team in U-19 and brought world for his country.

Vettori has done a fairly good job while captaining Neewzealand, hence he got the opportunity. His best comes out when he captains any side...
