    In Tamil Nadu also, places like Pazhany, Sivakasi etc, peacocks are not killed. It's because peacock is Subramaniyan's vehicle according to Hindu mythology and Palany is famous for its Subramaniya temple. Peacocks are seen in huge number here, freely loitering. My father has visited such places many times before
