    Here in my city symbol of one candidate is telephone it means we all should cover our telephones. I read some where that one party write to election commission to hid all lotus flower in ponds because it is symbol of BJP.

    Symbols are necessary for illiterate voters. These also identify political parties. We may have only symbols without candidate's name if political parties alone are allowed to contest.
