    Yes they do actually. I have read an article on animal suicides.Even you can see some vodeos on yotube!

    Yes Kumaresh, animals have been found to commit suicide in cases of extreme stress or when they realized that they cannot escape from enemy!

    Yes animals can commit suicide, some time back i heard that few buffaloes or cows not sure suiciding due to polluted water that they were getting. Let me search some article regarding this and ill try to post it here..

    That is true Meean, their behavior is very much like humans in many cases.

    An interesting fact, in 1916, an elephant was tried and hung for murder in Erwin, Tennessee. Just like humans are!! :) :) :)

    Animals also suicide?When human suicide they lowers to the rank of animals I think.

    WE need to probe in animal psychology. It is unlikely that an animal would attempt suicide consciously. The animals work more by instinct rather than planning or conscious efforts. Some animals may probably have instinct to kill themselves. The tiny insects in rainy season burn themselves on light. This has given rise to concept of shama and parwana in Urdu poetry. But we can not say that this is suicide.
