    True but isn't it true for ordinary people too. My father was an engineer, his father was an engineer, my daughter is an engineer and so am I. The only difference seems that none of us could make it to jail SO FAR. :laugh:

    It is a normal phenomena and since childhood child would be flooded with such questions and when guest come to see a child they will try to detect and identify the appearance in comparison with parents.

    The question that comes to my mind is whether environment has a stronger influence that hereditory or genes? A person put in a totally different environment may turn out to be different...

    It is definitely the environment they are brought up in that makes the children so similar to their fathers!

    It could work either way, if the child is exposed to better healtheir environmental conditions he or she could turn out to be different but practically it is not possible since children grow up with their parents and imbibe whatever they see and watch ...

    True.....film industry is a place where shallow and superficial things are given importance and the big stars are not immune to this superficiality, so it is not surprising that their children turn out like them. Of course there are a few exceptions but that is seen only in cases where the parents go out of their way to raise their children differently!

    Motivation, environment and heredity all work but persuasion works in most such cases. Although it should be child's choice but we fulfill some of our own desires through our children's career.

    I have no idea about environmental influence about genes development, but genes are the only source of common among all descendants and for this there should have been similar traits among all the people with the same genes.

    Environment defiitely plays an important part in shaping personalitiess and moulding the character of an individual, in fact many scientists are of the opinion that it can even overcome hereditory features ...

    Absolutely, example of Tarzan where, the human is left inside jungle and he has not been taught how to speak but he can jump over trees like monkey does, gene has nothing to do with behavior of humans as gene can resemble the voice of parents or face or some hereditary diseases.
