What a beautiful photo! It is actually so refreshing and amazing to see such nice, clean and pollution free environment on a waterfront!

It's one of the most beautiful artificial lake in Auburn suburb of Sydney. This lake is inside Japanese park which has a lot to watch. The Auburn Botanical garden houses  birds, animals, trees and flowers in different sections.

This is the photo of Laxmi-Narsimha in Hampi, a truly magnificent and beautiful monolith statue. Originally, there was Laxmi sitting on the lap of Narsimha on the right side, but the idol was cruelly broken off  and vandalized by Islamic invaders in the 16th century. So were thousands of other temples and shrines!

Only God know how many idols and temples they broken off. At present their followers crying for a structure to whom they named Mosque. A Mosque to whom they never used as mosque.

The place looks so neat and beautiful. Saw your 5.4 MB resolution image as well. What type of animals are there? just getting a bit curious!

Hampi in Karnataka is an excellent UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's filled with plenty of ruined temples. Thank you so much for sharing this rare statue. If you have more such statue images, then please do share.

I was told about this place during my posting in Bangalore a long time back and had a chance to visit this place with one of my coworkers during our official visit to Hospet. I think it's one of the best lot of ruins I have ever seen anywhere in India. Maybe you get as many ruins in Qutub complex Delhi but Hampi is spread over much larger area.

I have visited Hampi several times and I am sure will do so many more times because it is so vast and you can keep on walking around the ruins and go across to the river banks and visit Aihole , Badami and Pattadkal - all of which are equally beautiful and close by. It is one of my favorite destinations.

If you ever happen to be in Canberra, don't forget to visit Beijing Garden. It will give you an entirely different atmosphere making you believe that you were in ancient China.
