My suggestion to improve the topics for discussions. .

The current system of providing 5 points for commenting on discussion is a good one. . But i suggest a change to 4 points for those who comment and 1 point for each comment to whoever created that topic for discussion. . This will increase the quality and quantity of discussion topics. . What do u think???

You get 2 points for creating a topic once and that too has begun in recent past. That may not prove a practical suggestion as some of the topics don't even even take of. Besides that's a complicated procedure at programming level particularly while the site gone through major changes.

It's not a nice idea...
If so, from tomorrow onwards people will start a lot of useless discussion topics, resulting in spamming.
Do you know, before 2 months, no points were gifted for starting new discussion....
I know it's most difficult to initialize a new discussion than replying......yet, what to say...
I may have started more than 500 topics in the past 6-7 months......now am feeling happy that at least two points are awarded.

Also, any user who gives a nice answer deserves 5 points :)

If you look around, it is the topics that have the scope for gossip that get maximum number of responses and active participation and the admin has been trying to clean up the forum by bringing in some checks and measures and it is working now and what you see now is a much better and cleaner forum that what it was a few months ago...so we have to hope for more such positive changes...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Mary, this facility of awarding points to starter of the thread has been seriously misused in the past and therefore it was stopped for some time! Increasing points for starting a thread from 2 to 5 does not make any sense and will definitely give rise to a great number of spam.

Also, if you do a bit of exploring this topic has been discussed a number of times! So I am locking the thread for further discussion!
