In spite of clear guidelines and warnings, number of spammed posts is rising. I offer following suggestions for eradication of spam:

(1) Any new member's activity should be closely monitored in first three months.

(2) There should be reward for reporting of spams. The member reporting maximum in a month be given an award or Rs. 50/-

(3) The serious spamming like giving links for advertising products and adult content/ vulgar sites should be viewed most seriously and membership deactivated.

(4) Apart from deactivation of membership, legal action should also be taken under Cyber Criminal law.

(5) Only members active for more than a year may be allowed to introduce new members.

Excellent guidelines shared. From past one month or so, number of spam posts have significantly increased. You can now easily see at least one spam post deleted in every topic in forums. Need to get strict guidelines led so that Boddunan stays spam free.

deleted -spam post
My suggestion is that first five posts of a new member should be published only after moderation. Then only we have a control on spam posts.

Today, some spam posts have been inserted in current GD. These are first posts. The activities of fresh members need be closely watched. The existing members should also be careful in introducing new members.

I think they are deliberately spam posting. They should be given warning by the concerned person through sending private mail. This is diluting the quality of this site.It should not be taken lightly.
I think the spammers target threads which are very old. :( :(

Even this thread on spamming is targeted by the spammers. It is also worth mention that the spammed posts are maiden posts. This proves the necessity of prior scrutiny of first few posts of the new members.

They will never use the same email address after they post spam.
