I mean to say that sending private mail(PM) to the user ID which they have with Boddunan. First send warning, then bar them for a week or so and then ban them permanently. And if they are coming through refferal scheme then give a notice to that member who has referred these new members.
This kind of increasing traffic will have adverse effect in long run for Boddunan. Some new categories of members will start entering into Boddunan just to destroy the quality of website.
I am not a technical person and I even don't know the technicalities of spamming. but I think they are doing this spamming after registering with Boddunan.
We are having good moderators and some senior members who are highly active on forums. They should closely monitor spamming and if they feel then they should delete that post immediately. Earlier in some threads I have seen that few spam posts were deleted stating the reasons for deleting. This process should continue.Even, those members(including me) who are writing anything wrong post should be reminded of in the next post by any other members, so that he/she can rectify it.
If, spamming is not taken seriously, then in the long run Boddunan will lose it's identity.

Pradeep, its a good idea but it will not work with the kind of spammers who post information regarding sex drugs, dating, porno sites etc. because all they want to do is post links to such type of sites everywhere they can in the hopes that someone is bound top click on that link. They do not join boddunan because they want to become member here, all they are doing is selling their stuff! Also like Maverick said they do not use same email ID again. All we can do is keep deleting their posts and accounts.

We are working hard to fight against spamming. Deleting the posts as soon as possible. However if they post in non-peak hours where our editors/moderators not available, it may take some time to delete. PM to spammers would be waste of time. Spammers would not login for second time (and they are deleted from boddunan time to time). They use multiple accounts.

Anyway, I support reward for reporting spamming on forums. Would like to see more inputs on this.

That means it's a sole duty of moderators and active members to keep a strong Virgil on forums and going on deleting such posts as this is the only way left to stop spamming or reduce the numbers of spam post.
Yes, a reward given for reporting such spamming is really a good idea.
Obviously spammers have launched a sustained attack and I would suggest some pre-registration verification to fight off this menace.Over the last couple of months I observe an abnormal rise in membership!

Yes, Pradeep keeping up a constant vigil is the only way to deal with this problem!

Rewarding the reporters of such spams is a good idea!

i totally agree with the suggestion given by gulshan sir, hope its implemented
We are going to introduce improved registration process and are believing the spam would stop.

Yes, a strict process for registration can be followed and the activities of the newly registered members should be watched for some time.
