But one thing i don't understand if people really use karma points or not. :)

Presently, your karma point is 0. Obviously, no body has either added or deducted. I am going to add one karma point. This will bring your karma to 1. You may see karma points of others also below their profile image. I suggest read the posts and give + or - karma according to your like/ dislike.

I don't think liking or disliking should be the factor to give someone -ve or +ve but one should give it on the basis if the post contributes negatively or positively to a discussion. :)

If you consider that a post is positive, you like this. If you feel that contribution of the post is negative, you dislike. 'Like' and 'dislike' are simple words that express how you evaluate a post.

I don't think we should give -ve point to any user who don't agree with us.. It is common that two people don't agree on one thing.. its not mean they or we deserve -ve.
