You did a job, someone found it helpful and showed his/her gratitude. It's okay up to this point but why should anyone earn or gain points for this act? How do you think about it?

I don't think one should gain points for simply saying a thank you. It should simply remain a token of gratitude.

I will say thanks to you and wish none of us gains any points on this one. Cheers. :)

'Thank you' receiving or giving is no work. Points or cash should only be for original work- reading, writing, commenting, playing in polls.

Still if 'thank you' should earn points, this should be only for receiving.

Actually it came to my mind when a new member made it a feature to collect points with this particular feature. She has only 21 posts but she is on leader board last week and this week too with hundreds of points and I can see her giving thanks to every one without any meaning or concern.

Yes we should gain points for other important things. Hope Maverick gives a thought to our suggestions. :)
