I think Ubuntu by Linux is the best OS as it occupies lesser memory space, is faster than other OS, is compatible all softwares and comes free of cost.

Well very difficult to select. I think it depends on our usage that which Os will suit it..If you have to use advance features i think XP may not be good..For fast performance i think Windows 7 is good..otherwise XP can do.

hi,

I have used all the three and comparitively Window XP is good with respect to compatibility with hardware or software issues. Windows 7 is very good performance wise as it is fast and have many new features.

reading the above posts im inclined on saying xp bt by personal experience i would have to go with windows 7 because of its great performance.The only drawback i see in windows 7 is that its not very compatible with older versions of various softwares ,for example it cannot run turbo c..but despite of a few limitations windows 7 is the call of the hour bro :)

My fav is 7, but i also use XP (2nd boot) for other stuff with a cool Zune theme. The one to avoid Vista!

Windows XP is the best OS and now the Windows 7 also having the same kind. Both the OS are user friendly.

For better Security we can use LINUX. that will give us full security against virus and all.

I have used Windows XP/7 and Linux.

All the 3 are good.

I think for now Windows 7 is best operating system as per me. Windows 8 have recently launched so can't say anything about it yet as I have no experience with it.
